Ruth Patiño Henderson, LCSW
As a therapist, I am here to work together side by side as we navigate difficult life challenges. I encourage my clients to feel empowered and heard, so that they can feel more capable to work through finding their best solutions towards making positive changes in their lives.
I received my undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University in 1999, and my graduate degree at the University of Utah in 2003. In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with different people and cultures, community events, as well as cooking, traveling, being active, movies and spending time with my kids and loved ones.

Previously, I worked in higher education and partnered with various non-profit agencies, organizations and businesses providing counseling and support services, seminars and employee assistance consulting. As I have transitioned to private practice over the past several years, I enjoy the depth and impact of working more one-on-one with my clients. I have worked extensively with diverse communities, adolescents, young adults, women and couples. Areas of focus include women's issues, blending families, navigating divorce or distressed relationships, couples' counseling, family and parenting challenges, grief, life transitions, diversity issues, and anxiety and depression.
My hope is that you will find the understanding, support and answers you seek as you embark on your therapeutic process; and become more equipped with the knowledge and tools you feel you need.
